On Sunday, 27 October 2019, in the morning at 7:24, in Plungės district municipality, on the Mažeikiai–Plungė–Tauragė national road (kilometre 54.02), a Volkswagen Passat hit an obstacle. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 48-year-old driver of the Volkswagen (10 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed.
