On Monday, 28 October 2019, in the evening at around 18:00, in Telšių district municipality, on the Telšiai–Lieplaukė–Plungė regional road (kilometre 5.50), a Nissan X-Trail hit an animal. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 66-year-old driver of the Nissan (45 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. The driver was sober. At the time of the accident it was twilight, there was fog, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 70 km/h.
