On Sunday, 10 November 2019, in the afternoon at 15:20, in Šilutės district municipality, Žalpių village, on Plaškuoto street, at the junction with Tauragės street, an Audi A6 Avant rolled over. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 28-year-old driver of the Audi (11 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. He was drunk (1.66‰ blood alcohol) and fled the scene. At the time of the accident it was overcast, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
