On Monday, 16 December 2019, in the evening at 17:41, in Visagino municipality, on Statybininkų street near No. 15, at the junction with Taikos pr., an Opel Antara hit a pedestrian at a pedestrian crossing. One person was injured — a 62-year-old pedestrian (hospitalized). The accident was caused by the 53-year-old driver of the Opel (25 years of driving experience), who failed to fulfil pedestrian duties. The driver was sober.
