On Saturday, 21 December 2019, in the morning at 7:25, in Kretingos district municipality, Gintarų village, on the Šiauliai–Palanga main road (kilometre 118.35), a Scania R 124 rolled over. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 72-year-old driver of the Scania (38 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. The driver was sober. At the time of the accident it was twilight, the weather was clear, the road surface was icy. The speed limit on this section is 90 km/h.
