On Monday, 23 December 2019, in the evening at 22:05, in Kauno district municipality, on Stadiono street, at the junction with Sporto street, a head-on collision occurred. The collision involved a Volvo FH registered in Latvia, a Krone SD, a Schmitz Cargobull and a Mercedes-Benz Actros. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 53-year-old driver of the Volvo (10 years of driving experience), who entered the oncoming traffic lane. He was drunk (2.16‰ blood alcohol).
