On Saturday, 28 December 2019, in the afternoon at around 11:00, in Tauragės district municipality, Joniškės village, on Putinų street near No. 58, an Opel Vectra hit an obstacle. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 18-year-old driver of the Opel (1 year of driving experience), who failed to keep a safe distance. He was drunk (0.79‰ blood alcohol) and fled the scene. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 20 km/h.
