On Monday, 30 December 2019, in the morning at around 8:00, in Rietavo municipality, on Plungės street near No. 21, a collision with a stationary vehicle occurred. The collision involved a Volkswagen Golf and an Opel Vectra. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 28-year-old driver of the Volkswagen, who failed to keep a safe distance. He was drunk (1.26‰ blood alcohol), had no driving licence and fled the scene. At the time of the accident it was twilight, it was overcast, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
