On Monday, 30 December 2019, in the morning at 8:15, in Skuodo district municipality, on the Telšiai–Alsėdžiai–Barstyčiai–Skuodas regional road (kilometre 35.20), an Opel Meriva - A hit a pedestrian away from any crossing. Two people were injured — a 51-year-old pedestrian (hospitalized) and a 18-year-old pedestrian (treated as an outpatient). The accident was caused by the 77-year-old driver of the Opel (27 years of driving experience), who committed other traffic rule violations. He fled the scene. The driver was sober. At the time of the accident it was twilight, it was overcast, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 90 km/h.
