On Monday, 6 January 2020, in the afternoon at 13:52, in Akmenės district municipality, Balsių village, on the Užventis–Tryškiai–Viekšniai national road (kilometre 39), a BMW 320D rolled over. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 21-year-old driver of the BMW (2 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. He was drunk (1.61‰ blood alcohol). At the time of the accident it was raining, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 90 km/h.
