On Saturday, 1 February 2020, in the evening at 19:15, in Jonavos district municipality, on the Kaunas–Zarasai–Daugpilis (kelio ruožo su skir. juosta d. pusė) main road, a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a Nissan, an Opel Agila and a Mercedes-Benz Sprinter registered in Germany. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 52-year-old driver of the Nissan (34 years of driving experience), who failed to keep a safe distance. All drivers were sober. At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was lit, it was raining, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 70 km/h.
