On Saturday, 15 February 2020, in the evening at 17:30, in Šilalės district municipality, Pažvėrio village, on the Jomantai–Palaivis regional road (kilometre 2.80), a Saab 9-5 ran off the road. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 54-year-old driver of the Saab (20 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. He fled the scene. The driver was sober. At the time of the accident it was twilight, it was overcast, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 70 km/h.
