On Thursday, 12 March 2020, in the afternoon at 11:35, in Kaunas, on Savanorių pr. near No. 269, a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a Volvo XC60 and a Volkswagen Passat. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 68-year-old driver of the Volvo (20 years of driving experience), who failed to give way when changing direction. He fled the scene. Both drivers were sober. At the time of the accident it was raining, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
