On Friday, 13 March 2020, in the afternoon at around 13:00, in Šilalės district municipality, Mankaičių village, on the Skaudvilė–Upyna–Balsiai regional road (kilometre 12.45), a car ran off the road. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 27-year-old driver of a car (10 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. The driver was sober. At the time of the accident it was overcast, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 70 km/h.
