On Monday, 23 March 2020, in the morning at 9:56, in Trakų district municipality, on the Vilnius–Varėna–Gardinas main road (kilometre 27.20), a collision with a stationary vehicle occurred. The collision involved a DAF FT XF105.460 registered in Poland, a GAZ 3507 and a Krone SD registered in Poland. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 53-year-old driver of the DAF (36 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. Both drivers were sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry.
