On Thursday, 9 April 2020, in the evening at 18:40, in Elektrėnų municipality, on the Vilnius–Kaunas–Klaipėda (k. pusė) main road (kilometre 46.25), a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved an Opel Insignia and a Peugeot 406. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 36-year-old driver of the Opel (18 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. He was drunk. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 120 km/h.
