On Saturday, 11 April 2020, in the evening at 22:59, in Kėdainių district municipality, Saviečių village, on Mėklos street near No. 16, a Mitsubishi Carisma ran off the road. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 28-year-old driver of the Mitsubishi (10 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. He was drunk (1.83‰ blood alcohol) and fled the scene. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was unlit, the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
