On Friday, 1 May 2020, in the afternoon at around 16:00, in Šiaulių district municipality, Bernotų village, a collision with a moped occurred. The collision involved a moped and a Renault Espace. Two people were injured — the 15-year-old driver of a moped (treated as an outpatient) and a 16-year-old passenger of a moped (hospitalized). The accident was caused by the 15-year-old driver of a moped, who committed other traffic rule violations. He had no driving licence. Both drivers were sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry.
