On Tuesday, 2 June 2020, in the morning at around 7:00, in Klaipėda, on Šilutės pl., at the junction with Vingio street, a BMW hit an obstacle. One person was injured — the 24-year-old driver of the BMW (treated as an outpatient). The accident was caused by the 24-year-old driver of the BMW (5 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. She fled the scene. The driver was sober. At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
