On Friday, 12 June 2020, in the afternoon at 16:38, in Klaipėda, on Saulės street, at the junction with Klemiškės street, a Nissan Note hit an obstacle. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 53-year-old driver of the Nissan (31 years of driving experience), who failed to keep a safe distance. She was drunk (3.27‰ blood alcohol) and fled the scene. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
