On Monday, 22 June 2020, at night at 1:29, in Elektrėnų municipality, on the Vilnius–Kaunas–Klaipėda (k. pusė) main road (kilometre 43), a DAF hit an animal. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 62-year-old driver of the DAF (36 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. The driver was sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was unlit, the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 120 km/h.
