On Wednesday, 24 June 2020, at night at 4:35, in Marijampolės municipality, Igliaukos village, on V. Kačergio street, an Audi A4 hit a pedestrian away from any crossing. One person was injured — a 23-year-old pedestrian (treated as an outpatient). The accident was caused by the 19-year-old driver of the Audi (4 years of driving experience), who failed to keep a safe distance. He fled the scene. The driver was sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
