On Monday, 29 June 2020, at night at 23:14, in Vilnius, on Žaliakalnio street near No. 30, a BMW 530 D hit an obstacle. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 25-year-old driver of the BMW (less than a year of driving experience), who committed other traffic rule violations. He was drunk (2.09‰ blood alcohol), had no driving licence and fled the scene. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was lit, it was overcast, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 30 km/h.
