On Thursday, 2 July 2020, in the evening at 17:56, in Prienų district municipality, on the Kaunas–Prienai–Alytus national road (kilometre 19.30), a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a Mercedes-Benz, a Toyota Prius, a Volvo V50, a Volkswagen Passat and a BMW 3ER Reihe. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 26-year-old driver of the Mercedes-Benz (10 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. All drivers were sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 70 km/h.
