On Saturday, 4 July 2020, in the evening at around 20:00, in Kaunas, on Vaišvydavos pl., at the junction with Raudonojo Kryžiaus street, a collision with one vehicle turning left and the other right occurred. The collision involved a Ford Focus and a bicycle. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 25-year-old driver of the Ford (5 years of driving experience), who failed to give way when crossing an intersection. Both drivers were sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
