On Friday, 10 July 2020, at night at around 4:00, in Zarasų district municipality, Baibių village, on Liepų street near No. 1, a BMW 520D registered in Great Britain hit an obstacle. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 28-year-old driver of the BMW (10 years of driving experience), who exceeded the speed set by traffic rules or road signs. He fled the scene. The driver was sober. At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was unlit, it was raining, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
