On Saturday, 11 July 2020, in the afternoon at 15:30, in Kauno district municipality, on the Vilnius–Kaunas–Klaipėda (k. pusė) main road (kilometre 95.20), a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a Renault Megane Scenic, a DAF FT XF105 and a Schmitz Cargobull. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 33-year-old driver of the Renault, who failed to choose a safe speed. He was drunk (2.22‰ blood alcohol) and had no driving licence. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was overcast, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 90 km/h.
