On Wednesday, 15 July 2020, in the evening at 22:35, in Pasvalio district municipality, on the Šiauliai–Pakruojis–Pasvalys national road (kilometre 65.43), an Audi 80 ran off the road. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 45-year-old driver of the Audi, who failed to choose a safe speed. He was drunk (2.72‰ blood alcohol) and had no driving licence. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was unlit, the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 90 km/h.
