On Sunday, 19 July 2020, in the evening at around 19:00, in Kauno district municipality, Gegužėnų village, a Mazda 6 hit a pedestrian away from any crossing. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 30-year-old driver of the Mazda (12 years of driving experience), who failed to fulfil pedestrian duties. The driver was sober.
