On Friday, 24 July 2020, in the evening at 19:30, in Druskininkų municipality, on Neravų street near No. 27, a Volkswagen Golf hit a pedestrian at a pedestrian crossing. One person died — a 82-year-old pedestrian. The accident was caused by the 42-year-old driver of the Volkswagen (14 years of driving experience), who failed to fulfil pedestrian duties.
