On Sunday, 26 July 2020, in the evening at 21:04, in Raseinių district municipality, on the Paraseinys–Alėjai–Lioliai–Kelmė regional road (kilometre 8.98), a head-on collision occurred. The collision involved a Nissan Terrano II and a Volkswagen Passat. One person died — a 48-year-old passenger of the Volkswagen (later died from the injuries). The accident was caused by the 19-year-old driver of the Nissan (1 year of driving experience), who entered the oncoming traffic lane. Both drivers were sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 90 km/h.
