On Wednesday, 29 July 2020, in the afternoon at 13:23, in Rietavo municipality, on the Vilnius–Kaunas–Klaipėda (d. pusė) main road (kilometre 258.90), a Volkswagen Golf ran off the road. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 23-year-old driver of the Volkswagen (5 years of driving experience), who failed to keep a safe distance. The driver was sober.
