On Friday, 7 August 2020, in the evening at 21:30, in Šilalės district municipality, Padievaičio village, on the Mažeikiai–Plungė–Tauragė national road (kilometre 101), a collision while turning left (U-turning) occurred. The collision involved a Scania and a Nissan X-Trail. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 32-year-old driver of the Scania (10 years of driving experience), who failed to give way when changing direction. Both drivers were sober.
