On Thursday, 20 August 2020, in the afternoon at 14:30, in Elektrėnų municipality, Strošiūnų village, on the Vilnius–Kaunas–Klaipėda (d. pusė) main road (kilometre 54), a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a BMW 5er Gran Turismo Reihe, a MAN TGX 26.400 and a Schmitz ZKO18L. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 48-year-old driver of the BMW (26 years of driving experience), who committed other traffic rule violations. Both drivers were sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 70 km/h.
