On Monday, 24 August 2020, in the afternoon at 14:31, in Šalčininkų district municipality, on the Didieji Baušiai–Akmenynė–Turgeliai regional road (kilometre 1.30), a Volkswagen Passat Variant rolled over. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 50-year-old driver of the Volkswagen, who failed to choose a safe speed. He was drunk (2.33‰ blood alcohol) and had no driving licence. At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 70 km/h.
