On Monday, 10 August 2020, at night at 3:10, in Kaišiadorių district municipality, on the Vilnius–Kaunas–Klaipėda (d. pusė) main road (kilometre 75.90), a BMW X5 xDrive30d hit an obstacle. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 48-year-old driver of the BMW (20 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. She fled the scene. The driver was sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was unlit, the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 120 km/h.
