On Thursday, 10 September 2020, in the evening at around 17:00, in Kauno district municipality, on the Vilnius–Kaunas–Klaipėda (d. pusė) main road (kilometre 95.55), on a bridge, a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a BMW 730 d and a Renault Trafic. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 33-year-old driver of the BMW (1 year of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. Both drivers were sober. At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 80 km/h.
