On Wednesday, 16 September 2020, in the morning at around 8:00, in Kretingos district municipality, on the Kūlupėnai–Darbėnai regional road (kilometre 3), a collision with a stationary vehicle occurred. The collision involved a Komatsu HA 250 registered in Latvia and a Honda CR-V. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the driver of the Komatsu (10 years of driving experience), who committed other traffic rule violations. Both drivers were sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was contaminated. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
