On Tuesday, 22 September 2020, in the afternoon at around 16:00, in Šilalės district municipality, Palokysčio village, on the Vilnius–Kaunas–Klaipėda (d. pusė) main road (kilometre 240.70), a MAN hit an obstacle. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 64-year-old driver of the MAN (25 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. The driver was sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 90 km/h.
