On Monday, 12 October 2020, in the morning at around 8:00, in Kauno district municipality, on the Vilnius–Kaunas–Klaipėda (d. pusė) main road (kilometre 124.90), an Audi A4 ran off the road. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 43-year-old driver of the Audi (less than a year of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. He was drunk (1.95‰ blood alcohol). According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 70 km/h.
