On Saturday, 24 October 2020, in the morning at 7:30, in Šiaulių district municipality, Žilių village, on the Kuršėnai–Mažeikiai national road (kilometre 12), a collision while turning left (U-turning) occurred. The collision involved a Nissan Navara and a Volkswagen Crafter 35. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 42-year-old driver of the Nissan, who failed to give way when crossing an intersection. He had no driving licence. Both drivers were sober.
