On Thursday, 29 October 2020, in the afternoon at around 14:00, in Rietavo municipality, on the Vilnius–Kaunas–Klaipėda (d. pusė) main road (kilometre 255), an Audi A6 hit an obstacle. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 25-year-old driver of the Audi (7 years of driving experience), who failed to keep a safe distance. The driver was sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was overcast, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 130 km/h.
