On Saturday, 7 November 2020, in the afternoon at 13:58, in Elektrėnų municipality, on the Vilnius–Kaunas–Klaipėda (d. pusė) main road (kilometre 55), in a roadworks zone, a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a Volvo XC60 and a Volkswagen Golf. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 34-year-old driver of the Volvo (2 years of driving experience), who failed to keep a safe distance. She fled the scene. Both drivers were sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was overcast, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 70 km/h.
