On Monday, 14 December 2020, in the afternoon at 13:30, in Pakruojo district municipality, on the Kalpokai–Megučioniai–Girbutkiai regional road (kilometre 0.25), a Chevrolet Captiva ran off the road. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 31-year-old driver of the Chevrolet (5 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. He fled the scene. The driver was sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was snowing, the road surface was snow-covered. The speed limit on this section is 70 km/h.
