On Wednesday, 16 December 2020, in the evening at around 20:00, in Kaunas, on Pilies street near No. 1F, a collision with a stationary vehicle occurred. The collision involved a BMW and a car. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 18-year-old driver of the BMW (less than a year of driving experience), who failed to keep a safe distance. He had no driving licence. Both drivers were sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was twilight, the weather was clear, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 20 km/h.
