On Friday, 25 December 2020, in the afternoon at 13:20, in Klaipėda, on Laukininkų street near No. 46, a collision with a stationary vehicle occurred. The collision involved a Subaru Legacy and a Volvo XC60. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 44-year-old driver of the Subaru (24 years of driving experience), who failed to keep a safe distance. He was drunk (1.40‰ blood alcohol) and fled the scene. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was overcast, the road surface was wet.
