On Saturday, 26 December 2020, at night at 0:48, in Vilniaus city municipality, on the Vilnius–Kaunas–Klaipėda (k. pusė) main road (kilometre 14), a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a Volvo V50 and a Toyota. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 26-year-old driver of the Volvo (5 years of driving experience), who failed to keep a safe distance. He was drunk (1.47‰ blood alcohol). According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was dark, it was overcast, the road surface was wet.
