On Monday, 21 December 2020, in the evening at 18:30, in Visagino municipality, on the Visaginas–Stašionys–Rimšė regional road (kilometre 9), a Subaru Legacy Outback hit an obstacle. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 62-year-old driver of the Subaru (25 years of driving experience), who failed to keep a safe distance. The driver was sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was dark, it was raining, the road surface was wet.
