On Friday, 8 January 2021, in the afternoon at 16:30, in Utenos district municipality, on Pušynėlio street near No. 7, a Volkswagen Passat hit an obstacle. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 52-year-old driver of the Volkswagen (19 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. He fled the scene. The driver was sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was snowing, the road surface was snow-covered.
