On Sunday, 21 February 2021, in the evening at 17:51, in Trakų district municipality, Bražuolės village, on Piliakalnio street near No. 6, a Nissan X-Trail hit a pedestrian away from any crossing. One person was injured — a 34-year-old pedestrian (treated as an outpatient). The accident was caused by the 44-year-old driver of the Nissan (26 years of driving experience), who committed other traffic rule violations. He fled the scene. The driver was sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was dark, it was overcast, the road surface was snow-covered. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
